"I’ve come this far… why stop now?"
Those were my dad’s words, two months before brain cancer took him from us.

When I was 15, my mom had two strokes that left her paralyzed. Overnight, our world changed. But my dad—my hero—never once considered walking away. For 13 years, he cared for her full-time, building a life for our family that felt as normal as possible despite the weight he carried.

Then came his diagnosis. Brain cancer. Eleven brutal months. Even when he knew the odds, he kept fighting. He kept showing up. He kept being Dad.

And my mom? She’s still here. Still fighting. Still smiling. Still taking on each day with a positive attitude that humbles me.

They both taught me something I can never unlearn—when life knocks you down, you get back up. When it gets harder, you dig deeper. When you’ve come this far… you don’t stop now.
